Day 3: Timeless Elegance of Baden-Baden

We stayed for one night in this gorgeous city where trees are everywhere. This place is famous for thermal bath and of the two popular bathhouses, we chose Caracalla Therm because we don't need to be naked to get in. hahaha. It’s the perfect place to relax with its warm thermal pools, Roman-style saunas, and outdoor area  just what we needed after a long travel day.

Our home for tonight.

Our hotel was great and in the heart of the city. We arrived early, and although our room wasn’t ready yet, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel. We ate lunch at the mall, did a bit of shopping, and later returned to check in.

After settling down in our hotel, we took an orientation walk to get our first feel of the city. It was a nice stop over before heading to Switzerland.

Leopoldsplatz

Theater Baden-Baden

Baden-Badener Philharmonie

Collegiate Church

We also took a lovely walk along the Oos River. The path is lined with 19th-century hotels and homes, surrounded by trees, nature, blooming flowers and a clean, well-kept park—very peaceful and scenic.

Vogtsbauernhof Open-Air Museum

On our way to Switzerland, we stopped at the Vogtsbauernhof Open-Air Museum in the Black Forest. It shows how people lived and farmed up to 600 years ago. The guided tour gave us a look into old house designs, farming methods, and daily life back then. One highlight was watching a working mill from 1609 in action—it was really fun to see!
